Ingredients
2/3 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
Browned Butter Glaze
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
2. Blend together butter and brown sugar.
3. One at a time add the eggs and blend well.
4. Add vanilla and beat until light.
5. In a separate bowl stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
6. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with sour cream and mix well.
7. Drop tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove to a wire rack and cool.
8. Frost with Browned Butter Glaze.
For the Brown Butter Glaze
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden. Watch carefully as this will happen quickly.
2. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and milk (add more powdered to make glaze thinker if necessary/wanted).
3. Drizzle over cookies
